A Poinsettia for Watercolor Wednesday

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Kia is our hostess for this week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and she has chosen Watercolor Blending for our challenge.  Kia shares a wonderful video in the challenge post and also has some great tutorial videos linked on the main WCW thread.

I wanted an image that was large enough to work on blending so I chose this stunning Picket Fence Studios image, Christmas Star Poinsettia.  I decided not to cut it down but instead, I will frame it and hang it on the wall at Christmas.  I told my daughter of my plan and she said, "you can't do that, we already have enough art competing for wall time".  Haha, that's what happens when both of your children are budding acrylic painters!  :)  Well, she is not the boss of me so I am framing this and hanging it on the wall.

A big thank you to my Friday Night Crafty Zoom friends for their encouragement and suggestions!

We are super excited to share that Picket Fence Studios is the Brand of the Month at Simon Says Stamp!
