Wow, it's midweek already! I am having such a wonderful time Growing in Unity and reading your comments!
For today's card, I knew I wanted to feature Graciellie Designs. Hey Friend has seen ink before but He Will Sustain You has not so I thought it would be fun to pair them together for hump day. I don't know about you but about midweek I need a little filling of joy and peace!
I created a watercolor wash in the combo of Art Nudge#16 with the intention of using it as a full-size background. I didn't like how the edges turned out so instead, I stamped the flowers and feathers directly on the background. Lastly I fussy cut them and created my design.
I am entering this in the FB Art Nudge Group. The Art Nudge is open to all artists and all types of art. If you love art challenges, stop by and join!
Don't forget to comment. Each day's comments get counted for a chance to win a random selection of Unity stamps!
For today's comment, I would love to know if you enjoy creating cards for card challenges? If so how many challenges do you enter per week?
Thanks for stopping by! I have so enjoyed your visits this week!
The watercolor wash gives a nice look to the stamped image.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy creating for card challenges, especially sketch challenge. I enter minimum 10 to maximum 20 challenges a week.
This turned into a beautiful surprise. WOW State Fair material
ReplyDeleteagain ... rockin' the color combos this week
ReplyDeleteI love what you did here, I have this stamp set and am grateful for the inspiration you have given me in using it. I have not entered any challenges.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, love the soft colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card! I love the beautiful colors if you watercolor wash. I have both of these stamp sets, but have not used "Hey, Friend" much... thanks for this inspiration today! I enter challenges occasionally.
ReplyDeleteI have only entered one challenge. I feel so inadequate when I see all the talented card makers who post their amazing creations!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors. I have been enjoying your Unity creations all week. I got to looking at all my cases full of Unity stamps. I now have 3 baskets full. I love them all and love that they are red rubber!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing color combination, and so beautifully rendered! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this color palette 😍
ReplyDeleteI love what you did, I have this stamp set and the inspiration that you gave me on using it. I have never entered a card challange.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. You blend your colors so nice and soft. I love how you blend
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card! Love the ombré color scheme. Thanks for the tip about using an inked background to stamp and fussy cut on! Great idea!
ReplyDeletePretty card! I love the colors you used!
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly new to entering any challenges and I don't do it very often at all. I have a hard time with posting photos... so it really seems like a chore for me to enter the challenges.
So pretty, Ang!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful scripture. And I love your pretty color combo used on the flowers. Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you made your own patterned paper to use for the fussy cut flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours and a great result!
ReplyDeleteBeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuutiful card! I am so loving that color combination!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors--they just flow so nicely!

ReplyDeleteLoving the way you used the background you were not happy with - an absolutely stunning result Angie, and paired with that wonderful scripture it is a fabulous card.
ReplyDeleteI rarely create for a challenge - it has been known to happen, but generally I make the cards specifically for a person or event and fit them into challenges. I normally enter 10 challenges per blog post, and that usually twice a week.
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
I love the gradation of colors in your florals. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card created using 2 stamp sets. They look like were made for each other. Sooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the watercolor look on the flowers instead of the background. I'm on a couple online crafting groups and we do card challenges a few times a month. Lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteGirl, challenges are my mojo fuel! I especially love the big events at SCS because the anticipation build, the participants and the creativity that comes forth that would have never emerged without the challenge. Some of my personal WOW cards came from challenges. It would be a dream to be able to participate each day at SCS. I'm joining that group you linked!
ReplyDeleteCool combo of sets!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Such soft colors!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card! I love the watercolor wash. I doedo card challenges, but only use them on occasion for inspo. You've inspired me to stamp my image onto a random watercolor wash, too. I will also check out the group you mentioned. ☺️
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Fab design. Hugz
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I enter some card challenges but not many. My clean and simple card style cannot compete with the elaborate card techniques today.
ReplyDeleteI love to try challenges. Gives me a starting point and I donate lots of cards from challenges to my father's retirement home.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour palette and design!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy challenges, but as I'm rarely able to craft/photography/blog/share in the moment, so to speak, the feasibility of taking part in these fun happenings is rarely conducive for the circumstances of my life. That said, I adore seeing what others make and in occasionally taking part, when possible.
