Giving Thanks

It's time for a new Impression Obsession Challenge and this month we are Giving Thanks!  There is so much that we can be thankful for even in such a year as this!  I am actually thankful for the unexpected things that have happened because of the virus.  NOPE, not thankful FOR the virus.  EVER!  But I am thankful for all of the extra moments I have had with my family because of it.  I am also thankful for the many things I am learning because of this time.  This Thanksgiving will be like in previous years.  As we sit at our dining table we will take turns expressing what we are thankful for and I can't wait to hear what my family has to say!

My card features the Enamel Pitcher, Autumn Leaves, and the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment.

Impression Obsession Challenges are open to everyone so we hope you will join us!  Just head on over to the Impression Obsession Blog for all the details on how you can join in the fun for a chance to win a prize!

My design and color choices were inspired by Art Nudge #35.

I am also playing along with the Falliday Fest Challenges at Splitcoaststampers!

One more thing before I go, there is still time to get your favorite Giving Thanks items at 25% off

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I am so thankful for your visits and comments!  :)  I would love to know what you are thankful for!

Plaid Pumpkin

It's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and Linda has chosen a fun tutorial on watercolor plaid pumpkins!

I decided to use Eat Pie by The Project Bin for my pumpkin and sentiment.  I stamped the pumpkin in fade out ink and then followed the tutorial.

Thanks for taking a look!

A Honey Bee Thank you!

Hello!  Happy Monday to you!  Today I am sharing this bright and happy thank you card and playing along with the CAS Challenge at SCS.  The Bee Fierce Stamp set and Coordinating Dies remind me of when my husband used to be a beekeeper! Even though my husband no longer has bees we still get a kick out of seeing bee boxes in the fields along tree lines when we take road trips!

First, I blended ink with a LC Blender Brush through the Honeycomb Stencil then I stamped the Thank You directly on the card front. Lastly, I sprinkled a few Irish Coffee Sequins Mix
Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mixes are on my list of Favorite Things and now Picket Fence Studios carries a beautiful Sequin Mix Display Case that can also be used for reinker bottles as well!.  It's not only useful it's beautifully crafted!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Rainbows After the Storm

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hi, everyone!  It's time for a new Inspiration Challenge! Julie has chosen a site with lots to inspire our crafty hearts!

I found THIS photo on Pinterest and right off I knew what I wanted to do!

I spent the weekend at Lydia's October Virtual Retreat.  We had so much fun!  We Zoomed half the time and took classes on FB via LIVE events.  I feel like I made a whole batch of new friends and learned a lot too!  So, I didn't completely follow the directions on my card because this was my second attempt.  First, we used tape to mask off some lines.  Then we stenciled the background and I chose the Slim Line Rainbow Stencil.  This is where I diverged from the lesson. We are actually supposed to take a pen and draw lines so that the white-masked pathways seem to be above the stenciled pattern below.  Sadly, my hands are just too unsteady and my black pen lines went everywhere, EVEN though I used my trusty ruler. Therefore on this attempt, I decided to go without the pen lines.

Now back to the inspiration photo!  When I saw the bright colors and the white lines, I thought, "I have a card partway done for that"!  I decided to cut a square out of the card front using the new Picket Fence Studios Slimline Cutting System.  Then on a white layer, I stamped the cute umbrella duo from After the Storm and colored them. I adhered all the layers and then I added Screwdriver Sequins Mix.  I just love Picket Fence Studios Sequins Mixes because they can have unexpected colors in the mix.  Who would have guessed that this mostly orange mix would include these cool blue reflective sequins?!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join us for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge!

Lines and Circles

Hi!  It's my turn to host the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and I have chosen Lines and Circles as my challenge.  I think Slant Background stamp is so cool (no pun intended) because it has a dotted ombre hill with defined hill lines.  It just begged for this cute Sled Silhouette. The sentiment is Warm Wishes and lastly, I added a few snowy pearls.

Did you create a project this week with lines and circles?  We would love for you to join us at the Free 4 All Challenge!  If you don't have a Splitcoaststameprs account, it's free and only takes a few moments to create one.  You will receive your own gallery to feature your art plus so much more!

Old is New Fall Birdhouse

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hello!  It's the day we polish off our older Impression Obsession stamps and create new designs!  I chose to feature this sweet Birdhouse Autumn stamp and the Happy Thanksgiving.  I wish I could say that looking out my window I see gorgeous leaves like this but where we live we are surrounded by pines, holly, and magnolia trees.  The rest of the trees have not really shown their autumn colors this year, mostly, they are turning brown and falling off.  The joy of stamping is that I can color the image in my own Fall fantasy!  To create the background I ink blended distress ink and spritzed with water.

Stop by the Impression Obsession Blog to see a complete list of the designers participating in this week's Old is New Day!

My warm yellow sky was inspired by this week's Art Nudge #34.  I ended up skipping the pink and purple this time.

One more thing before you go,  for the next two weeks the SALE category is Giving Thanks!  The sentiment I used on today's card and much more are all 25% off through 11/15!

I would love to know if you have colorful leaves outside your window!
Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Wednesday Slimline Fall

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge!  This week Kia has us choosing between three different Slimline Fall Techniques.  I went with the third one.  I enjoyed the practice even though I am not 100% happy with everything.  I need more practice!  :)  I decided to leave the sentiment off and place it on the inside.  I used the beautiful Daniel Smith Watercolors to paint my scene.

I am participating in this week's Art Nudge #34.

Also before you go I thought I would link you to the new items at Picket Fence Studios.  They have some lovely Fall stamps and dies!  I really love the leaf dies and the beautiful tree!  They are so versatile that you can use them all year round!

A Trio of Trees

Hi!  Today is November 1st.  Can you believe it?  I cannot believe we have made it to November. I mean honestly, I feel like I am still stuck in March, it can't possibly be November!  But The calendar says it is so I am going with it!  Today we have a brand new Fan Club Christmas Challenge at SCS so I played along with a trio of trees.  I stamped the top of one of the trees from The Most Wonderful Time of the Year set three times on a slimline card base.  I blended blue ink with Life-Changing Blender Brushes around the trees and spritzed with water for a snowy look.  Then I die cut the stitched circles from the new Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Die Cutting System.  This is such a fun die-cutting system with numerous ways to configure card fronts!  Next, I added a sentiment from Inside Quotes - Christmas.  Lastly, I sprinkled Gin and Tonic Sequins onto the card.  I just love the sparkle they add!

I am also celebrating this week's Featured Stamper at SCS.  Congratulations to Mary!

Before you go I just want to give you a look at all the different dies that comes with the Slim Line Die Cutting System.  I can't wait to try all of the other cool shapes! They can be mixed and matched for endless possibilities at a great price point!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy November to you!
