A Smashing New Release from Picket Fence Studios

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Happy Monday to you!  It's Monday and time for the December Picket Fence Studios Release!  There are lots to look at this time so we will hop right to it!
I really like the new Do Good Recklessly set.  It's just right for masculine cards plus it's not something you see everywhere which makes it a must-have for me. I love the bold sentiments and versatility as it works well for both feminine and masculine projects.   I paired it with Paul James Guy, (Coordinating Die) and the new SlimLine Grass/Floor/Waves stamp.

Next up, we have the new SlimLine Clouds stencil!  Oh, I just love it so much.  :) After stenciling the clouds, I used the Slimline Die Cutting System and cut a circular window, then stamped a sentiment from Do Good Recklessly.  ***Tip!  Keep the shapes that are made when using the Die Cutting System as they make handy layers for cards!***  Next, I added the grass from SlimLine Grass/Floor/Waves stamp and a bunny from Peach and Piper! (Coordinating Die).  Since we have Leaves for Flowers new this month, I thought it would be fun to add leaves and flowers for the cute bunny to wear on her head.  I used the Leaves Coordinating Die for quick and easy cutting! The leaves coordinate with the Beautiful Girl Flowers and their Coordinating Die set and make a sweet combination.  I think she looks adorable!  Even though 2020 has been weird for most of us, it's also given us a few benefits.  Life is good.

Next up, how about a little Walk in the Park!  I used the SlimLine Clouds stencil and the Corner Sun Stencil for the sky.  The Coordinating Die allows us to build fun scenes with 8 different park goers!

I O Challenge - Building Snowmen

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's time for this month's Impression Obsession Challenge!  Our theme this month is snowmen!  I adore this Snowman and the Snowman Accessories!  The cute little banner and coffee cup are included in the Accessories along with many other fun items. Next, I die cut two Stitched Tags and used one as the background for my snowman.  To the tag, I added two stitched snowbanks using the Wave Edges Dies.  Lastly, I added the Stay Cozy Sentiment.

We are building snowpeople this month at IO and we would love it if you joined us!  Stop by the Impression Obsession Blog for inspiration from the team and then check out the details for how you can join the challenge for a chance to win a prize!

Also, right now you can pick up your favorite snowpeople at 25% off through 12/15/20!  How fun is that!  Click HERE to start shopping!  No coupon needed!

With my card today, I am entering the Freshly Made Sketches #465
(I am sorry, I wish to add a graphic of the sketch or the FMS badge but Blogger is not allowing me to do that tonight.  I will try again later)

My card has definitely been touched by the "Frosty the Snowman" song! "There must have been some magic in that old top hat...."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are staying cozy this season!

Friday with Alice

Hello, everyone!  I am up on the Picket Fence Studios Blog today featuring sweet Alice!   I think Alice is delighted that it's Friday and she has started celebrating by listening to her favorite mix!

I created an interesting background with the Geo Squares Stencil and LC Blender Brushes.  I colored Alice then I used her Coordinating Die to cut her out.  Next, I stamped a flower and leaves from Beautiful Girl Flowers and die cut them with Coordinating Dies.  I really like PFS Coordinating dies because they save me so much time when creating cards AND they are sold already separated, no metal cutters required!  You know, I love PFS Sequins so I sprinkled a bit of Razzle Dazzle and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you feel inspired to create something this weekend!

    Stay Cozy

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Today on the IO blog the Design Team is featuring cards made with die cuts.
I chose cozy red Mittens on a Postage Cut background and the Stay Cozy sentiment.

Head on over to the Impression Obsession blog for a complete list of the Design Team members who are participating today!

I am also playing along with the Art Nudge #38.  The mittens are in red like the mug in the photo.  The photo looks like it's taken outside on a chilly morning so I can imagine drinking hot cocoa from a red cup in warm red mittens!

Before you go I just want to let you know about the current IO Sale! Now is the time to grab your snowman themed stamps and dies for 25% off!

    Brightly Shining

Hello, Wednesday!  It's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge!  Kia has given us a lantern tutorial this week.  As you can see, I found it a bit challenging.  Still, even a bad practice is better than doing anything else!  I always want to go back and try again!  :)  Halfway through the painting my cat stepped in the yellow paint and then proceeded to step in the blue changing the blue forever!  Somehow I think I managed to make it all work but I was not happy.  She just looked at me like, "what?" and then "why?" when I washed her paw!

I am entering this in the Watercolor Beginners and Beyond Gratitude Challenge.  I am so thankful for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and friends that encourage me to TRY!

I used the Windsor & Newton Watercolor samples, my sweet friend, Janeen gave me.

    Christmas Lights and Sweaters

This is the last month of the Fan Club Christmas Challenges for 2020 and wow, the challenges have been so much fun!

For my card, I selected a Distress Oxide background paper we made at Lydia's Virtual Fall Retreat and die cut the medium-sized Traditional Lights.  (there are 3 sizes included in the die set!)  I strung them on silver twine and added Merry Christmas from Typewriter Sentiments.  There are so many ways to use these fun lights!

Next, up I am playing along with this week's Color Challenge.

    I used:
