Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. January Release begins....

Hi everyone!  We have a fun week ahead at Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co.  It's blog hop week and all week we will be showing the new stamp sets for January.  I hope you won't miss a day because one lucky person will receive a free stamp set Tuesday - Friday just for commenting!

Today I get to share with you this sweet set, "Oh Baby".  What a cutie!

This was so much fun to create!  I used MFP a HC 140 lb Premium White Card Stock for the base, scored panel and image.  I cut out and popped up the teddy and tub image but stamped the bubbles directly on the scored panel.

I kept the inside very simple.  Aren't those ducks cute?

Thanks for looking!

23rd Anniversary!

It's HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for Steve and I tomorrow!  I thought I would post a day early!! 23 years ago on a  beautiful winter, Saturday in Louisiana, Steve and I said, "I do"!!  I popped out a card speedy quick this morning using a new stamp set from MFP a HCbeing released this week!  I had a little inspiration help from SCS Inspiration challenge IC371 .  I stamped the heart on "denim" paper.  I think it turned out so cute! I  Love the 2 sentiments together.  I kept this as simple as I could because Steve likes simple.  I hope he likes it...I just never know with him.

So if you feel like scrolling down I took some time today to photograph a few wedding pics (I don't have a scanner so this is the best I could do) and I also added 3 of my favorites taken in October. A little "then and now" kind of post!

Speedy Fox & Friends 142 - Movement

Hi!  I hope everyone has had a good week!  It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends . This week's challenge is to have something that moves on your card.  For more inspiration and all the info click HERE . I have been intrigued with the "wobble" cards so that is what I chose to do.  I followed this video  The Paper Boutique Youtube video  on how to make my own since I couldn't find one at my local stores.

I used the new stamp set "Fantastic Dogs" that is soon to be released!  I hope you will join us for Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. blog hop next week and check out the inspiration our team has for you!

This cute little pup is attached to a spring

At different times I enlisted the help of all family members to capture the movement of this little pup!  My daughter had the most patience and I appreciated her help!  She held  down the card and flicked the pup while I clicked away on the camera.   Pup wobbles but he doesn't fall down.....(anyone remember the  "Weebles" commercial?  :)  )

Behind the scenes!  You can check out my homemade wobble!

Here is another shot of the card facing forward.  Only after placing this card in my editing program did I notice  there is a stamped bone in the background that looks like  Pup has part of it in his mouth!!!!

One of my crafty goals for 2013 is to make the insides of my cards at the same time as I create the front so when they turn out cute....you will be seeing a lot more insides from me!

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today!  Hope you have a great weekend!

MFP a HC Sneak Peek

Hi!  I thought I would share a little Sneak Peek of Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. new stamp set "In My Den" being released next Tuesday!  I decided to link up yesterday's SCS "Technique Lovers Challenge" with this fun stamp set. The challenge is to choose a TLC from 2012.  Well....being a little over achiever...I decided to make a project with two new (for me) techniques.  I chose to make a Twisted card and a Fold Over bookmark.

 Book mark tucked in pocket

Thanks for looking and I hope to see you back next week for MFP a Heinrich Co. Blog Hop. The new release for each day of the hop is offered as a prize to one lucky winner so come check us out next week!

Speedy Fox & Friends 141 - Recycle a Christmas Card

Hello!  Are you settled back into routine yet?  We had to get back at it on Thursday as that's when school started back.  I have to say I could have used another week for sure!!!  One thing I am always ready for is playing a challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends!  Speedy Fox & Friends challenge this week is to recycle part of a Christmas Card you have received.  Well...this turned out more difficult than I would have thought!  I went searching for past Christmas cards and couldn't find them!!! The ones I could lay my hands on were too special to take apart and I am just not ready to recycle any from this year, yet! Finally I found one made by a fellow stamper from many years ago (long before I had any notions of paper crafting)   My recycling is the green square of DP as well as the green holly leaves.  I hope you have an easier time of recycling than I did!!!  For all the info on this fun challenge and to see more fabulous inspiration just click HERE .

I used Holly Jolly Greetings for my sentiment and holly embellishment.

Inside of the card:
"Merry Christmas" sentiment from "Poinsettia Blooms" set

It's all fun until someone gets hurt

Hiya!  I made this card for my nephew and had it completed in just a couple of hours...but then.....it took me several days before I photographed it!!!  Some sort of procrastination took over me and I just couldn't seem to get it photographed and blogged.  I really wanted to enter it in several challenges so I don't know why I had such a difficult time moving forward but it here it is!  This image just cracks me up every time I use it!!!

Happy New Year with FOSTV!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope you didn't celebrate too hard last night!  A bit on the quiet side this year as my husband turned in early since he had to get up and go to work today!    Maybe you are like me today and have a little crafty  time on your hands, if so why not check out  FOSTV challenge today!  We are going to make a New Year's card this week. You can see all the lovely inspiration and find all the details HERE .

I used MFP a HC "Big City" for my main image. I created photo corners by using a corner die cut from cuttlebug.  To make a backing for my photo corner I used a square punch then cut the blue square  diagonally to form a backing for the photo corners.  Jolee's Boutique dimensional stickers were used to create a "New Year's" theme!

This is the stamp set one lucky winner will receive for playing along in this challenge!

Speedy Fox & Friends 140 - Tissue Paper

Good morning!!!  I hope you have been enjoying the holidays!  Except for missing my husband (he has to work this year) it's been a relaxing week at our house!  I didn't think I could stay away from my craft room but I ended up taking 5 days off!!  With a Speedy Fox & Friends challenge on Saturday I went back to the craft room to see what I could create with tissue paper!  We hope you will join in the fun this week at Speedy Fox & Friends  and use tissue paper on your craft project!

I used the stamp set "Just a Note" for the focal point and the sentiment.  This has  become one of my favorite sets!!!  I made a couple of tissue flowers but ended up using just this one and added a gem to the middle.     I also wanted to try the "cracked glass" technique again. I had a new embossing powder that was thicker but not quite as think as UTEE.  I only need 3 coats of the powder this time instead of the 4 with my regular transparent EP.

A close up shows the tiny ribbon I placed on the strip of flower DP  but then ended up covering most of it with the sentiment!!!!  You can see a little more of the cracking here too.

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy this last weekend in 2012!!!

Stamp set used in the making of this card:
Just a Note
