Everything's Going to be Alright!

Some days we really need to hear that, don't you think?  When things are not going our way it's good to remind ourselves that every little thing's going to be alright!

I am hosting the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this week and this adorable image made think of the colorful Moana.  Moana is fearless, determined and confident.  In the movie, everything doesn't go her way but she doesn't give up!

Even though the inspiration photo is full of color I went with a very CAS background and just let my Moana be the star of the show!

Old Is New - Spring Bunny

***If you are looking for the winner of the Die Hop check out the Impression Obsession Blog!  Congrats to all the winners!***

It's that time again when we share Classic Impression Obsession stamps in fresh designs.  I have worked with this beautiful Bunny in Flowers stamp before and I love it.  With a little inspiration from the CAS challenge at SCS, I decided to color the entire image this time instead of only highlighting the butterflies as I originally intended.

I stamped the butterflies a second time, colored and fussy cut them then I added Wink of Stella.  I sure wish I could get it to show up on camera!  They sparkle!  For my last step, I adhered them to the butterflies on the image.  I love how they look like they are ready to fly off the card IRL!

For the full list of today's participants in the "Old is New" showcase check out the Impression Obsession Blog!

I am also playing along with this week's CAS challenge at SCS to show off spring buds with a bonus for using green!

Avery

Hi!  today I am featuring sweet BFF Avery Girl!  She is so pretty, don't you think?  It's spring break for my daughter so we spent one of the days shopping for a graduation dress.  We found a dress very similar to Avery's dress only in all white as per school graduation dress code rules.  Avery makes me think of my sweet girl.

One thing I love about the Picket Fence Girls is their size.  I can really have fun adding eye shadow and a touch of blush!  It's kind of like playing paper dolls only they won't get bent and their accessories won't fall off!  Remember the little tabs that were supposed to keep the clothes on?  Such frustration.  Anyway, I love being able to add fun touches on the Girls and every time I stamp them I can dress them differently!

I love being able to create my own borders with stamps like this one with the Classic Houndstooth pattern. Being able to stamp my own patterns means I never run out of that perfect piece of designer paper!  As a finishing touch, I stamped the Wild Rose Bouquet set, then I colored and fussy cut just one of the blooms for a fun pop of color.
My design was inspired by this week's Inspiration Challenge at SCS!

Impression Obsession Spring Die Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession Spring Die Release.

Each day (April 1st - 3rd) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog at 6am. Every single blog will have a $25 gift certificate to give away for the event - so the more you comment through our Release Celebration the more chances to win! All comments for all of the event days will be open until Sunday 7th at noon CT. All winner will be announced on Monday, April 8th.

First up today I am showcasing this beautiful Desert Scene die set.  The set includes 3 beautifully shaped dies for desert scene building.  I am going to send this to our son who has some final tests coming up.  We took him to Zion Natl Park when he graduated high school and he and my husband climbed one of the scariest trails.  6 people have died falling off that trail.  I hope this encourages him to remember that if he can climb Angels Landing he can do anything!  The sentiment is included in the Card Sentiments set.

Next up, I am showcasing a couple of different ways to use the Funky Floral Frames.
For the first card, I die cut shiny gold paper.  That was it!

For the next card, I die cut the frame from white, yellow, green and magenta.  The majority of the pieces are large which makes for easy piecing.  To finish off the card I added a little bit of Inktense pencil coloring.

The current Impression Obsession Die release overflows with spring delights!  All of the new dies are available now with no waiting until the end of the hop!  Click HERE to shop!

Now all you need to do to for a chance to win a $25.00 Gift Voucher is leave a comment on my blog and let me know how you prefer to use dies.  Do you prefer creating with pieces such as the Desert Scene or do you prefer to have your scenes all in one die like the Funky Floral Frame?

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to visit tomorrow for our last day of the hop!

Impression Obsession Spring Die Release!

Welcome to the Impression Obsession Spring Die Release Celebration!
Today, I am featuring three of the darling Impression Obsession animal dies! Putting these cuties together is a little like putting a very easy puzzle together but with the bonus of being able to die cut a new piece if you lose one! :) I adore these cute critters!

First up: DIE783-S Cat.
To frame the cute kitty I die cut DIE798-Y Stitched Tag and used a banner from: DIE814-U Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banner set then stamped Umm...hi.

Next up is the super cute DIE790Q Llama.
I framed him with the DIE797-YY Crazy Stitched Set and the pretty DIE799-W Whimsical Scalloped Tag. Then I added DIE807-G Thanks for a thank you card.

And lastly but certainly not least is this absolutely adorable pup! DIE793-Y Wire Hair Terrier.  The DIE797-YY Crazy Stitched Set is so fun that I once again used it for framing. I added DIE809-G Hello and created a couple of cute DIE806-ZZ Stitched Flowers.

A Myth

Hello!  I am back!  Did you miss me?  :)  I just realized I had 7 posts last week, compared to this week's one post, I have been rather quiet!

We have had a very busy week.  First, we enjoyed watching our daughter sing and dance her way through Shrek the Musical.  Then we continued our decluttering and I am almost all the way moved back into my art space!

I have been stamping in here the last few days and I am loving my new workspace.  The cabinets have become my desk so I can stand while I work which takes the pressure off my back!  The cabinets line up along the wall giving me a lovely long space to work in.  I have noticed that I am not losing things I work on like I did before because I can spread out!  I will post photos once I have everything the way I want it!

So here I am today with a fun card for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS!   The Inspiration site this week is a bedding site with super creative bedding designs!

I decided to create a rainbow of sunshine using these blending brushes and this stencil.  Then I colored this groovy unicorn and added Wink of Stella to the horn and glasses. (Sadly my lighting doesn't show the sparkle.)  Next I die cut the unicorn and paired him with the fun myth sentiment from this set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a great day and be so awesome that people think you are a myth!
