Fall Fun with Picket Fence Studios October Release

Hello!  Welcome to a look at the October Picket Fence Studios Release!  I had so much fun with this release!  It brought out my bright side.

First up is this amazing Tree that was inspired by this week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge.  I watercolored the sky and ground then die-cut the tree and watercolored with watercolor powders.  The sentiment is from the super sweet Songbirds set and NOW the Songbirds Coordinating Dies are in!  Lastly, I added yummy Spiked Cider Sequins.

Next up is this darling Honey Dear. Weeks ago, I created this bright background with pink and yellow Distress Ink and Life-Changing Blender Brushes. It didn't work for that project so I set it aside.  When I saw the new Honeycomb Stencil I layered it on top of the previously made background out and I just love how it turned out!  I colored the adorable Honey Dear stamp and then die-cut it with the Coordinating Die. Next, I stamped directly on the background a sentiment from the spooky Franken Cute set. Lastly, I used Pink Lady Sequins Mix.

My absolute favorite way to embellish my cards is with Picket Fence Studios Sequins Mixes.  You can ask any of my teammates!  I am always saying "this ____ mix is my favorite".  I tend to think whichever mix I am using is my fave!  :)  So I am going to add this card to today's Ways To Use It Challenge at SCS.

For my final card, I die cut the new Oak Leaves from watercolor paper blended with Distress Ink. (Also new this month are Ash Leaves and Oak Leaves)I added more color to the leaves with Life-Changing Blender Brushes.  Lastly, I stamped Thank You directly on a watercolor paper background.  I think this Thank You stamp is going to become a favorite!  I finished off the card with a sprinkle of Spiked Ocean Water Sequins and  Spiked Cider Sequins.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a selection of the new Picket Fence Studios Stamps and Dies.  For a look at the entire Release Click HERE!

I used two of the Postage Cuts sizes for the background.  Then I added the fun BOO! word die-cut and the Ghost duo.

This is the first year that I have really enjoyed creating Fall cards.  I seem to have fallen (yeah I went there) for warm yellows and reds!  How are you coming along with your Fall cards?

Picket Fence Studios Blog Hop Winner!

Hullo! Today I have a fun watercolor card made at Lydia's Virtual Retreat this past spring. The flowers are made with q-tips and then I went off-tutorial a bit because mine did not look like Lydia's at ALL.  They were NOT a pretty sight!  So I added a bit of watercolor and then to finish off the card, I used a sentiment from the gorgeous Picket Fence Studios Face the Sun stamp set.

Winner! Winner!
Since last week's hop was to celebrate an IG Milestone for a teammate I combined both blog comments and IG comments to find my winner. If you commented here and IG both entries were counted!  Thank you so much for all your lovely comments!

Congratulations @cardsbyjennifrann

Ladybugs in the Garden

Hi!  It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  It's my turn to choose a site for the challenge so I thought it would be fun to visit the Eyelet Outlet Online Store.  They carry, eyelets, brads, washi tape, and more!

For my project, I grabbed my Eyelet Outlet Mini Ladybugs, Impression Obsession Garden Grows stamp, and Celebrating You.  I had so much fun coloring this pretty flower garden and then adding ladybugs to the scene!

Before you go I want to let you know about the current sale Impression Obsession is having!  Click either the photo below or HERE and it will take you directly to the Owls Theme Sale!

Thrice the Owls - IO Challenge with a prize

It's time for a new Impression Obsession Challenge and this time it's all about birds!  The challenge includes a prize so check out the links below for all the details!

I used Who Loves You and did a little bit of masking at the owl feet so they look like they are standing or sitting on the branches.  This fabulous set is 50% off right now so grab it while you can!

I came up with the design because of the adorable photo prompt from Art Nudge #30.  I colored my owls in the color of the birds in the photo and here is a list of colors for this week.

Would you love to win a gift voucher to the IO store?  Here is your chance!  Just play along with the challenge to be entered.  All of the details are listed on the Impression Obsession Blog Challenge Page.  You can stop by and get inspiration from the DT then create a project and link it to the challenge!  I can't wait to see what you create!

And how fun is this?
The entire OWL Category and that includes Dies is 25% off until Oct 15th!

Autumn Watercolor

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge at SCS!  Kia found a fabulous tutorial for us.  I will say that this is my 2nd attempt.  I liked my water and mountains so much better in my first attempt but I tried to do the leaves like the tutorial and I made a huge mess of it.  This was my 2AM attempt so I will have to try again another time, and I WILL.  The tutorial shows two different scenes and I can't wait for another painting session.  I have to say that I enjoyed this so much that even at 3AM I had trouble falling asleep, I wanted to paint some more!

I am also participating in Art Nudge #30.  In my first attempt I used all the colors but my green and red leaves looked off so in the 2nd attempt I just went with red leaves.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope this inspires you to paint something!

World Card Making Day and a Milestone Celebration

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)
So much to celebrate today!  Don't stop until you get to the bottom of the post because we have a tremendous giveaway happening!

First off it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  Julie is our hostess and we are headed to a fabric shop.  I found a Halloween Multi Quilt Panel with blue-green as my inspiration. You can check out my photo in the gallery to find the link.

I used the Spooky Day stamp and the Coordinating Dies as well as a single bat from Witch, Please. The spooky house and trick or treaters beg to be on a slimline card!  I adore using Picket Fence Studios Coordinating dies as they make everything easier!  I would not enjoy masking this scene and I certainly would not be able to mask the little trick or treaters!

I stamped the moon first then masked it off.  (I can mask circles!  ha!) I used Life Changing Blender Brushes and yellow ink around the moon, then Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Black ink on the edges.  I die cut the house and colored in the tree to make a silhouette. For the house, first I colored in the yellow, and then I blended black ink on the edges. I masked a winding hill for the trick or treaters and then stamped and die cut them.  I stamped the bat then added the puffy clouds.

Next up, we are celebrating World Card Making Day and a milestone for a fellow teammate at Picket Fence Studios!

Hop along the lineup, follow the design team and leave comments for your chance to win some fabulous prizes.
There is a grand prize from Picket Fence Studios, one $100 gift voucher, as well as smaller prizes on every stop of the hop. The grand prize winner will be drawn from comments left on all the stops, and each design team member will draw their individual winners respectively.

Stencil, Sparkle and Shine

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hi everyone!  Today I am over on the Picket Fence Studios Blog plus I am hosting the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  For the Free 4 All Challenge, we are using black on our cards plus sparkle/and or shine.

I thought it would be fun to show the versatility of the Picket Fence Studios Floral Stencils. So, first up, I turned the Floral Slimline Stencil into a Christmas card by simply adding the Merry Christmas sentiment from Baby It's Cold Outside.  I used a reverse stencil method by blending blue distress ink over the cardstock with Life Changing Blender Brushes (also sold as a bundle) then I placed the stencil onto the cardstock and blended black ink through the stencil.  I added sparkle with Glitter Paper and then tossed Gin and Tonic Sequins Mix from about 6 inches in the air and glued the sequins onto the card where they fell!  (I learned that trick from Lydia!)

Next up, I used the 6x6 Floral Stencil to make an A2 Christmas Card.  This time I stenciled the new Artemisia Silver Paper Glaze through the stencil.  I added a sentiment from Inside Christmas Quotes and then finished off the card with Gin and Tonic Sequins plus Black Russian Sequins Mix.

I love the versatility of the Floral Stencils as they can be used for any occasion including Christmas!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I would love to see your creation on the Free 4 All Challenge!
