Speedy Fox & Friends 129 - Inspiration

Happy Weekend!!!   It's time to check out Speedy Fox & Friends challenge!  This week's challenge is an inspiration challenge.  You can find all the details on the challenge  here.  The inspiration photo is shown below:


I tried a couple of ideas before I settled on this design.  I wanted to use the squares and the swirl from the photo to inspire my design plus I need to work on my Christmas Challenge of 5 cards a month  so I ended up chosing plaid Christmas DP for the background (squares at an angle) and a flourish behind the sentiment for the swirl.  The sentiment and mini holly leaves are in the fun holiday stamp set: MFP a Heinrich Co. "Holly Jolly Greetings" .  The sentiment, stars and flourish have been sprayed with gold smooch spritz that I picked up on the clearance aisle!!!  TFL and have a great weekend!

    Very pretty card, Angie. I love those stars and how you sentiment looks as if it is hung on the flourish. Great paper, too.

    BTW, I picked up my little fir punch at Michaels a long time ago. They may not carry it now...I just don't know. Hope you can find it.
