Mixed Media Color Challenge!

For this project I played along with the Mixed Media Color Challenge

I decided to just play and experiment and see where it would take me.  I am not totally happy with everything but I enjoyed the play time!

I cut my mixed media paper to 6x6 and painted it pink.  Gesso, and some streaks of Peach Gelato followed.  I stamped "MPD Distressed Background Blocks" and then painted on some more Gesso to blend the Gelato that just didn't quite go.  I stenciled fiber paste hearts and painted them....oh SO many times!  First they were too bright, then too white and back and forth I went.  The bird was stippled with peach chalk ink as well as some of the flowers.

I covered the clouds with drywall tape and randomly stamped peach chalk ink on them.
The black dots still seemed a bit stark so I painted the "MPD Distressed Background Blocks" stamp with a light pink paint and stamped it near the black ink dots on both the right and left sides of  the paper.

This is one of my favorite sentiments in my collection so I decided to finish off my project with it and add a touch of lace.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!
