Hello! It's Saturday and that means Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge! Did you guess we were creating flower pot cards this week? If so you are correct!
Creating a flower pot card took me back to my first days as a card maker! Three years ago I was just beginning the fun journey of stamping. I had very few tools and had no idea that there were online stamping companies. My DH suggested I look at youtube and sure enough, I found a lot of card making tutorials. The first non A2 card I tried was the flower pot! I remember how time consuming that first flower pot card was to make. Funny, it was easy peasy today with experience behind me!
I used Oopsy Daisy for my flower pot blooms. I stamped the daisy on the left twice, layered the leafy branch on top of the first layer of flowers then popped up the single daisy for lots of dimension.
A look at the note out of the pot.
You can find all the details on the challenge and see fabulous inspiration from the DT at Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge!
Thanks for Looking!
Beautiful card Angie! Love the unique shape! The Daisies look gorgeous and I love the fancy ribbon treatment!
ReplyDeleteI like it Angie. Very clever. Neat flowers and part of the note tag. Nice going.

ReplyDeleteYour flower pot is so pretty. You picked the perfect flowers and leaves for your pot. The tulle looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh Angie, what a cute pot of flowers for this challenge!! I love that pot template (even though I've never actually done it myself). Such a fun and cute card to give someone!!
ReplyDeleteAngie,
ReplyDeleteHow very, very pretty. Your flowers are lovely and happy and the inside is perfect as well.
WOW, I've never actually seen a flower pot card before, Angie, but I love the idea!!! Your's turned out beautifully!!!! I love the tulle wrapped around the pot!!! This is really beautiful!!!

Oh, Angie, I LOVE your flower pot and the beautiful flowers inside! What a fabulous card! Just love it!! So clever and creative! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAngie - this is lovely. I have never made a flowerpot card. When we get home will have to give it a whirl!
ReplyDeleteThe tulle round the pot really makes a statement and your flowers are coloured so prettily
Oh my gosh! I think a flowerpot card was one of the first shaped cards I ever made too. We made them at a workshop a couple weeks ago and it brought back memories. Your card really rocks. I like all the die cut greenery to pull it together.
ReplyDeleteFun and fabulous!! I haven't ever made a shaped card before, but now I might have to hunt up some info. :) LOVE the tulle bow. I remember reading some crafter said she always used tulle bows on gifts she was mailing because it didn't crush...always looked popped right back up when the parcel was opened. This bow is perfect for your card.
