Thankful for Friends

Friends add zest to our lives.  I am so thankful for the sweet friends I was able to chat with yesterday.  I texted one friend who jumped to my rescue, spoke on the phone with another friend and met a dear friend for supper.  By the end of the day, my soul was enriched by friends both near and far.

I created this fun scene for the SC666 challenge and Bev's fun challenge FF17TexasGrammy for Falliday Fest at Splitcoaststampers with the help of the MISTI.

I stamped and masked the small pumpkins then added the large one.  I think that bird is adorable so this week he had to make an appearance!   I was a bit out of it when I was creating this scene and I had the teal pumpkin and the orange pumpkin colored before I realized I had no idea what to do with the third pumpkin.  I quickly snapped a photo and messaged my friend Janeen.  She texted right back, "how about yellow"!  Doesn't it look fabulous?  I don't know what I would do without good friends!

If you didn't get a chance to stop by last week I mentioned that
teal pumpkins are not just a pretty decorating trend but a symbol for raising awareness of food allergies.   Putting a teal pumpkin on your doorstep means you have non-food treats available, This simple act promotes inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions.  You can find out more at FARE: The Pumpkin Project.

Just as with last week's sketch card I am featuring Fall For You from Unity Stamp Co.

  2. What a sweet autumn scene. I love the blue pumpkin. Friends are special, aren't they? I promise not to kill mine this evening when we get together for dinner and stamping (which always turns into dinner and talking).
