Burst of Color with a Giveaway!

Hi! I am back today with another card which features the fabulous paint splatter stamp from Picket Fence Studios.  I started off stamping warm Distress Oxide colors, Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber,  and Spiced Marmalade on  Color Heals the Soul Next, I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped on cardstock.

As I mentioned yesterday on my blog post this is a lovely long stamp that easily fits a horizontal A2 card but I love creating vertical cards. So I only used a portion of the stamp for this card.  When stamping a vertical card you don't get the drips on the right side (see the photo of the stamp set below) so I dried the stamp and moved the cardstock over.  Then I inked just the drip on the right side of the stamp.  Next, I added a sentiment that I thought would be perfect for my daughter as she is just months from graduating high school!

At this point, I thought I was finished with the card. However, even though it was very appealing to me with all the white space I knew my girl would find it boring.  She loves color and very little white space!  So I flipped the card around And added the rest of the rainbow colors! Next, I inked the stamp with Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Wilted Violet Distress inks and then spritzed with water.  Lastly, I dried it with the heat gun and then moved the cardstock to add the purple drip.

Today is your second opportunity for a chance to WIN a $15.00 gift voucher to the Picket Fence Store!  Simply leave me a comment and let me know do you like to create with lots of white space or would you rather fill your card with layers and a lot of color?
Drawing is open to US and International commenters! Unfortunately, free shipping is only available to US residents. The drawing will be open until March 19 at 8pm EST. I will announce the winner on March 20th!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  3. I love this bright and vibrant card!! What a sensational set, Angie!

I am pretty much just a paper and ink kind of girl. Sometimes I like lots of white space and sometimes I cover the page with ink, but I seldom use many layers or embellishments.

  8. Oh...so excited ... forgot to answer the question 😊 I tend to go for lots of color! I really struggle when making simple cards with lots of white space. Love them when others make them, just not my forte’ I guess.
