Impression Obsession Challenge - Things That Fly

It's time for a new Impression Obsession Challenge and you can play along with us HERE!  The theme for the next two weeks is: Things that Fly

I gave this challenge a lot of thought.  I pulled out fish (for flying fish), leaves, snowflakes, a butterfly and birds.  I played around with the, oh so cute Birdies die set and then all of a sudden this design popped into my head and I had to try it. I love stretching my stamps and finding different ways to use them.

First I masked the moon, then sponged the background.  Secondly, I stamped the Cat Silhouette 5.  Then I die cut 3 wings from the Serendipity Birdies set from white cardstock and 3 wings from vellum.  I like the way the vellum softens the white wings.   Next, it was time to ground the kitty but I realized that this is one time in which grounding isn't necessary. In my world, all cats go to heaven.  :)  Lastly, I stamped sending hugs which is such a versatile little stamp.
