Hanging Ornaments

Hi!  It's the first day of the month and that means it's time for a new Fan Club Christmas Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!

I had so much fun hanging these pretty Nordic Ornaments and Star!  The ornaments look so lovely that all I needed to do was add the Merry Christmas sentiment and that was it!

Right now is a great time to stock up on all your favorite IO products since there is a sale happening!  We are also in the middle of a HOP so if you haven't checked out Day 1 and Day 2, you might want to do so for a chance to win a Gift Voucher to the IO store!

IO Fabulous Fall Release Celebration & Giveaway

Welcome to the Impression Obsession Fall Die Release Celebration!
Check the end of this post for all the Hop details!

There is something so fun about playing with dies.  I think it sort of reminds me of playing with paper dolls but better!  So first up is a cute treat holder.  I am not much of a 3D girl but give me a die that takes all the scoring and measuring out of it and I am IN!

One thing that aggravates me about purchasing a 3D die online is that sometimes the item looks bigger than it really is so I am going to share with you the dimensions!  The completed basket is approximately 2 1/2 in x 2 1/2 in at the bottom and 3 1/2 in by 3 1/2 in. As an example of what this basket can contain, (without decorative paper on the inside) it holds 24 mini peanut butter cup treats, 24! Such a great basket size!

Once I put the basket together I decorated it with a bit of distress ink and the spider from the BOO die set.

Next, I added the wise owl to this amazing pointed tag set.  I took it out of the treat box to show you how the tag comes to a point.  It's such a fun look as a tag and the point helps the tag to sit nicely in a basket! The owl is holding the little banner with the lettering from the BOO die set.

Next up is this cutie!  I die cut a frame from this beautiful Large Frame set. I adore bows so I was thrilled when I saw this cute bow in the Release!  Then I added the darling deer with a glossy accent nose! And to finish off the card I added Hi!

(This card was inspired by the Inspiration Challenge at SCS!)

Hi

For my last project today I created a fun pencil box.  This cute box makes such a fun gift idea for any time of year!  I once again added the Rustic Bow!  What is so cool about the bow is that the top bow is all one piece which makes it so easy to fold over and secure!  I love it!

Paper Hugs

Yay, it's Friday!  Today is a fun Friday because both of my kids are headed home for a few days.  I am a little nervous since my daughter's drive is twice as long as my son's and with more traffic.  So I channeled my nervous energy into a paper hug!
I chose this sweet Girl by Picket Fence Studios because she makes me think of my girl sitting in her dorm room studying. Next, I colored her and cut her out with her coordinating die.  I love being able to die cut and pop up images in a moment because of the coordinating dies!  Secondly, I selected this fun stencil as a background.  Then I used my Life Changing Blender Brushes to brush on the bright colors.  Because my daughter is all about color!  Lastly, I searched through my sentiments for just the right one.  I looked for something that told her I loved her but not something overly mushy which might make her sad.  And that's it!  I will tuck this into my daughter's bag when she isn't looking so she has a  sweet surprise when she gets back to the dorm.

Now is a great time to pick up your favorite Picket Fence Studios products because they are having a sale!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Time of Year

Yep, I can feel it creeping upon us, that time of year again when the spiders take over!  We have two big trees right near our front door and the spiders love to make webs between the trees.  I still can't figure out how they manage to spin a web that long-distance!  Every day we knock it down and every night it's back up again.  I seriously think they are trying to catch us and not little bugs!

So I am playing along with the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this week.  I found THIS dish and couldn't get it out of my head!  I love black and white.  As much as I love it, I decided to splash some color on my Fall sky with this amazing stencil.  The branch is sooo cool.  It actually looks good as a tree too! The spider is from this cute trick or treater set and it comes with a coordinating die.  I just wouldn't have been able to cut around those tiny feet so I love Picket Fence Studios coordinating dies! I used a grass stencil for the grass and the sentiment is from this fun set that has flying frogs, I love those frogs!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the last days of summer before Spider time of year is here again!

#thinkpink

The new Impression Obsession Challenge is up and we are headed to the beach!

I used my absolute favorite beachy stamp by Impression Obsession because I am all about #thinkpink!  I did a little masking magic and added some distress resist spray for the foamy bubbles.   Creating this was so fun.

Hey!

I am totally hooked on birding! Depending on the food we put out we can have a colorful array visit every day.  Sometimes when I walk outside the calls and songs of the birds are so plentiful, I feel as though I live in a tropical forest.  It's also quite humorous to walk out back and get scolded for being out there during feeding time!

This week's Featured Stamper at SCS is Donna and she has a wonderful gallery.  We both chose birds as our subject.  We chose not to use any DP on our card and both used ribbons.  You can find directions to Donna's card HERE.

I created this card with the sweet Tag with Tags set.  Next, I thought I would explore the Birdies die set and I felt a bit like a milliner as I created the hat!  Lastly, I added a small cluster of leaves from the Leaves Reverse Die.  The sentiment stamp is a tiny piece of a wonderful Fall stamp set and fits perfectly inside the small stitched tag. The stamp and all dies are from Impression Obsession.

Today the Impression Obsession team are creating with dies!

Rainbow Dreams

This week Brenda is our host for the Inspiration Challenge and she is taking us to Hand Painted Jars.  I found THIS photo and I am also joining Janine's DTGD Challenge. We have until noon today to upload our DTGD cards so I think this will be my last one for 2019.

Using the photo for inspiration I went with all black and white except for the rainbow.  The rainbow was created with my Life Changing Blender Brushes and this fun stencil by Picket Fence Studios.  I grounded my dreaming fox with a rainbow of color and then ran my blender pen over the ground to soften the colors.  The sentiment is included in this gorgeous sky building background stamp set.
