I have mentioned it before but it bears repeating, my art projects always begin with opening my MISTI! I don't stamp without it, not even little sentiments. I love the precision I get every time with the MISTI! For small sentiments and images, I love the Mini MISTI. For most of my projects, I usually have both MISTIs in use! I have also fallen for the Cut Align rulers. I love the weight of the rulers and the multiple measuring grids make it easy to line up anything!
So first up is this cutie I created with this adorable koala set and the coordinating die set. I love the coordinating dies because with the dies it's so easy to add precisely cut images to any type of background! And speaking of backgrounds, I created this with a stencil from Picket Fence Studios and Deco Foil Metallix Gel. This photo does not capture the shiny pearl goodness! What is extra special about this gel is that once dry the gel is not brittle so it won't crack if you bend the card!
For my next card, I am getting ready for Christmas! I die cut three circles from cardstock. On two of the circles, I used Grass Green Glitter Gel and this abstract lines stencil from Picket Fence Studios. On the third circle, I stamped this sentiment from Santa's Mischief which is on sale right now! I used the small Cut Align ruler to get perfectly straight ornament hanging!
For my last card, I am not letting go of summer but I am learning to let go of comparing myself to others. I really love this sentiment from this beautiful fish set by Picket Fence Studios. I created the background with the, oh so yummy Turquoise Sea Glitter Gel and this fish stencil. Not only is the sparkle and texture of the glitter gel fabulous but you won't have glitter all over your house for days! Simply rinse off the stencil with water and a quick swipe with a baby wipe will clean off your work surface, boom, clean!
These cards are so fun, and colourful! The glitz gel just knocks your socks off, and that adorable koala - well, you just want to sit & have tea with him :)
