All Wrapped Up!

It's August 1st and that means here in our county we head back to school next week.  I always hated August 1st when my kids were growing up.  I loved our summers together.  The first of August signaled an end to summer fun but sadly not an end to the summer heat.  This is a whole new August 1st for me because I no longer have students K-12.  The middle of August my baby heads to college.  I have a spring in my step!  We made it this far.  :)  I will be sad on move-in day and I will probably cry the next day but I am also ready for this next stage.  So this entire paragraph has NOTHING to do with my card other than it's August 1st and that means it's time for the new Fan Club Christmas Challenge at SCS!

I can't tell you the theme of the challenge since you have to be a Fan Club member for that but stop by the Fan Club page and get all the details.  One of the big perks of being a member is happening this Saturday, August 3rd!

I have wanted a Merry & Bright sentiment ever since I saw my first one on a card years ago.  Even though I love it, I only had one teeny-tiny Merry & Bright stamp so when I saw this amazing sentiment set from Impression Obsession, I just had to have it!  The set includes this sweet berries and boughs stamp too. I stamped my sentiment on this whimsical tag which reminds me of eyelet lace!  I added a bit of ribbon to the tag and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are inspired to take part in some challenges this month!

  1. A very sweet tag Angie - I used to love our long summer holidays too, but like you, although I was ready for my offspring to leave the nest, I still shed a tear or two when they did.
