Abstract Circles for Watercolor Wednesday

(Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you!)
Hi!  It's Watercolor Wednesday and I am hosting this week!  I created two samples for my challenge because once I get going with circles, I just don't want to stop! I became enamored with circles when I went to Lydia's Unwind Retreat and she handed out cool circle protectors!   The amazing Mel taught us a class on zentangling with circles that night and circles are now my favorite thing!  :)

For my abstracts, I followed a tutorial which can be found in the linked post I highlighted above.
For this challenge, I tried several different papers and achieved different results.  For this card, I used Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  It's very white!  I watercolored circles, then I went around the circles with an Elegant Writer pen and spritzed the card with water.  Lastly, I added the Wake Up Create Sentiment

For this card, used the Fabriano Watercolor Paper linked below.  I decided to leave off the sentiment until I know where it's going.  I painted watercolor circles and then stamped the circles. I would have never attempted to stamp circles on watercolor paper without my trusty MISTI!

We would be delighted if you joined us for Watercolor Wednesday at  Splitcoaststampers! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Fantastic pair! The second card feels like it would suit a masculine b-day especially well. Its upbeat hues would make a fab choice as a get well greeting, too.
