Watercolor Wednesday - Hollyhocks

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)
Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  This week we are painting hollyhocks.  I decided to go with a single stalk of hollyhocks instead of the cluster painted in this week's tutorial. I also kept my background plain instead of the beautiful leaves that are shown in this week's tutorial.  Fear got to me!  Even though my hollyhocks are not perfection, I was happy with this attempt and afraid I would mess it up with greenery.
I framed my painting with the Rectangle 6 in 1 Frames and added a New Day sentiment.  I would never have added the sentiment without my MISTI.

Before you go, if you have not hopped along with the March Impression Obsession Blog Hop scroll down or click HERE for Day 1 and HERE for Day 2.  There is still plenty of time to comment for a chance to win!  :)

Lastly, Impression Obsession's 25% off Theme is for the birds!  No really, bird-themed stamps and dies are 25% off, no coupon needed!

Notes: I followed a youtube tutorial by Emma Jane Lefebvre.

  3. Beautiful painting Angie, and I love that sentiment - the fonts are a beautiful accent to the hollyhocks

  4. Angie, this is breathtakingly gorgeous. Every last element (very much including the use of two layers of serene grey cardstock) is spot on, inspiring, and as pretty as springtime itself.
