Impression Obsession Spring Release Day 4

Here we are on day 4 of the Impression Obsession Spring Release! This fabulous release has everything from cute to serious!  For today's post, I am a little more serious but serious doesn't mean somber!  During the toughest situations, we can find strength and that is what drew me to the sentiments on the cards I am sharing today.

First up I created a wonderful background with the Cover-a-Card stamp, Spirals.  I inked the background with distress inks, then stamped the Spirals with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  For the final step, I blotted the background with water to lift some of the ink away. To finish off the card I added the beautiful Serenity sentiment.

For my next card, I am featuring another large stamp, Boho Mandala.  It is huge and gorgeous!  I sponged Peacock Feathers distress ink on cardstock then stamped the Mandala with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  For the sentiment, I chose Walking.  I adore this sentiment.  It describes many of my friendships.  We check in with one another daily or weekly.  Figuratively we have linked arms and We Are All Just Walking Each Other Home!

With this card I am playing along with the MIX311 challenge to take something old and make it new!  The gem at the center of the mandala is actually brown!  I coated it with Versamark ink then covered it with Gold EP and heat set.  Old is New!!

I have had so much fun featuring projects from the Spring Release this week!  The release event ends tomorrow so I hope you will be able to join us again tomorrow!  You can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog. Every single blog will have a $25 gift certificate to give away for the event - so the more you comment through the week the more chances to win! All comments for all of the event days will be open until Sunday, January 13th at noon CT. All winners will be announced on Monday, January 14th.

All of the new stamps are available now! You can find them HERE!
