We Might as well Dance

I have been a fan of the Beautiful You stamp set since the first day I laid eyes on it.  I just love the style and energy of the images. The sentiments are pretty special too.  So it was with surprise and delight that I received this set in the mail last week!   At first, I wondered how anyone knew I loved this set and then I remembered a passing comment I had during a conversation with my sweet friend, Judy.   I was floored that she purchased this for me from that little conversation and it's not even my birthday or Christmas!   Thank you, Judy!

I wanted to celebrate this week's Featured Stamper at SCS so I browsed her gallery.  I found several cards I thought I was going to CASE but when I saw her darling Time To Read card, I thought of my new stamp set.  I also had this week's Art Nudge in mind when I was browsing Teresa's gallery so when I saw her cute girl in red, I knew what I was going to do!

I am also entering this in the SCS Fan Club Monthly Theme: Rise Up.

This sentiment means a lot to me since this was supposed to be a BIG month for our family!   Our son graduates from college this month, my sister also graduates from college with her teaching degree and my niece graduates High School!  I was so looking forward to seeing them cross the stage and celebrating them.  It's healthy to acknowledge the disappointment but I am not going to live there so I might as well dance!

Thanks so much for stopping by and before you go, leave me a comment and share how you are dancing in spite of a missed event!

  6. Wonderful card, Angie. I love your sky and her red dress. You are correct, it is good to acknowledge the disappointments and also find new ways to celebrate the accomplishments. How great these accomplishments are as well! I am proud of them! New adventures for them all as well. Definitely dance worthy!! Hugz

  7. What a stellar, healthy, inspiring mindset. I'm putting much the same into practice in my life, too. It's vital to acknowledge and discuss the many ups and downs, and plethora of emotions, that we're going through, but dwelling on what simply cannot be really doesn't solve anything, when all is said and done.

That said, I am sincerely sorry that you won't be able to see your loved ones graduate this year and that (I'm assuming) they themselves are not having graduation ceremonies to publicly mark these milestone achievements. There's no doubt that must be a blow for each of them.
