Picket Fence Studios and My Sweet Petunia Collaboration Blog Hop

Today Picket Fence Studios and My Sweet Petunia are collaborating for a fun Blog Hop!

First up, is a fun technique that I wouldn't try without a MISTI because I would never be able to get everything lined up!

First I, inked the solid Wild Wildflowers stamp with Mustard Seed and stamped on the cardstock.

Next, I crumpled up some plastic wrap and dabbed Picked Raspberry ink randomly on the stamp with the plastic wrap.  Then I closed the MISTI lid and stamped a second time transferring the random spots of Picked Raspberry onto the yellow wildflowers.

Lastly, I added a sentiment from Leave as a Friend.  A bit of salty ocean on the edges finishes the card.

Next is a fun background technique I learned from Lydia at her virtual retreat. The background stencil is Flourish Circle.  Using the MISTI,  I stamped the sentiment from Dear Best Friend directly on the background.  I rarely stamped directly on the card base before having a MISTI because if it wasn't stamped clear enough, there is no getting a second inking positioned perfectly. The same can be said for silhouette stamps.  I always stamp twice to get a super dark impression which is just another reason to love the MISTI!  Right now you can get Dear Best Friend and it's coordinating die set for a discounted bundled price!

Both cards were created with the same color triad but with very different results!

Lastly, I want to share this fun project with you because I would not attempt this without the MISTI.  The image was made with Life-Changing Blender Brushes and a watercolor brush. Next, I wanted the sentiment paper to match the background so I stamped a sentiment from the Because set directly on watercolor paper.  Since watercolor paper is textured I stamped several times using the MISTI.  I could never stamp in the exact same spot with an acrylic block but with a MISTI, it's easy peasy!

Today's projects were created with the amazing Mini MISTI.  I love the smaller footprint of the Mini.  It's just right for traveling or stamping in smaller spaces but I use it every day as a companion to my original MISTI.  Right now you can get the Mini MISTI and a Studio Bag  and/or an Original and a Studio Bag at a discounted price!

Ok now for the fun details you have been waiting for!  The blogs to hop are listed below.  Stop by each blog and leave a comment to be entered in the drawing! The winners of a $50 gift certificate to MSP, and a $50 gift certificate to PFS will be announced on the Picket Fence Studio blog and My Sweet Petunia blog on June 2!
