It's What You See

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge!  I started with the color and theme prompt from Art Nudge #26.  I ADORE flowering branches and birds as focal points for cards so I pulled out my Lg Bird on Branch.  I thought about adding some blossoms to my branch but I don't really have blossoms that match the lines of the leaves so I decided to make my sky pink and skip the flowers!

I am having a blast with the weekly Watercolor Challenge prompts as I find I use past techniques for the new challenges.  This week, I used the same technique for the sky as I did last week.

This What You See sentiment seems so appropriate for the current season and again makes me think of the message I heard this past Sunday.  If I only look at the close-up narrative I will miss the bigger picture, in other words, it's not so much what I look at that matters, it's what I see!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will be inspired to play along with the challenges!

  1. Really lovely - reminds me of a young blackbird. The pink sky is so pretty. I thought about a bird too but I only got as far as thought!

We are feeling the blues this week at the F4ALL Challenge.  We can make mostly blue cards, make a music card, or make an encouragement card ...
