Hello, Fall!

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and I am once again inspired by the Art Nudge!

I have used Dina's tutorial before but I used it with the Brushos and Stamp technique.  This time I went with Distress Inks and a stencil.  I had so much fun with this version that I see a LOT of watercolor stenciled backgrounds in my future!

Here is what I used:

I chose this particular stencil because it reminded me of the ironwork at the window on the photo.  I added in brown to get more of the brick red color but my red is still brighter than the color in the nudge but it for sure prompted my color choices.  I even added gray to the squirrel to get in another color from the Nudge!
Check out the photo inspiration and the challenge HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you in the Challenges!

  1. Wow! I love your background! Great colors and wonderful design with that stencil. What a unique stencil, and so much cuteness with the squirrel.

  4. Oooohh, Angie, that background is nothing shy of magnificent. It calls to mind all manner of fall time delights from candy apples to bonfires, golden sunsets to fields of ripe wheat. Gorgeous work, my friend!
