A Focus on B

Hello! This week's Free 4 All challenge at SCS, is to feature something that starts with the letter "B." My "Bs" are Bear, Boy, Bark (tree), Buddies, and Back. The central figures are Pooh Bear and his buddies!

For my project, I used a beautiful piece of paper from the Pooh Paper pack and added a sentiment from the Handstamped Pooh stamp set. I also stamped the back of the card with a cute image of Pooh crafting a card. The stamp on the back is also from the Handstamped Pooh stamp set.

Hello! For Watercolor Wednesday, at SCS we are painting negative spaces.   

I used two of the hearts from the new Primitive Hearts Die set and I drew around the dies.  I didn't even make a paper template; I just used the die itself.  The tutorial we are following shows the use of wax paper, but I went with cling wrap. The sentiment is from a cute new set, Tutu Cute, and I stamped it on a Deckled Tag banner.

With Love & Stencils - IO January Product Focus

Hello and welcome! This month at IO, the Product Focus is Stencils!  

I used the Windows Stencil to create this fun card. The Windows Stencil Set includes four stencils: squares, ovals, rectangles, and circles. There are so many design possibilities with all of the newly released stencil sets!

I used Peacock ink to stamp pictures from the Lovingly Wrapped for You set inside each square.

Coffee & Books - IO January Release & Hop Bonus Day!

Hello, and welcome to day 3 of the January IO Release!  

Today, I am featuring one of my favorite card themes: coffee! 

I saw a cute Christmas card posted by Jeannette on Facebook this year. The way she incorporated small Christmas elements and cardstock blocks was so striking. I made several changes, including the theme, but that fabulous card inspired this!

Bear & Company - Impression Obsession Day 1 Release & Hop

Welcome to the January Impression Obsession Release, everyone! With so much to share, we are devoting an extra day this month to the Release, so be sure to stop back by tomorrow and Wednesday!

I used the gorgeous Hundred Acre Wood background stamp for my first card; it creates a lovely background for the new Jointed Pooh. I enjoyed creating this adorable Jointed Pooh Bear! To complete the card, I added a Pooh Pleasures sentiment on a Rounded Corner Sentiment 2 layer.

Next up is this cute card showcasing Childhood Friends on a Heart Shelf. I will be using this lovely Heart Shelf for many different projects in the future. I used a Circle Stencil from one of the four new geometric stencil sets that were released this month to add a warm glow around the plush toys. Also, the background paper is from the Pooh paper pack, and the sentiment is from Pooh Pleasures.

I have another adorable bear card to share, but it is not Pooh Bear this time. Introducing this sweet Big Hugs Bear! Not only does Big Hugs Bear offer giant hugs, but he can also assist with birthday celebrations! :) I added a 2 from the Numbers Die Set to celebrate the birthday child. 

One side of each of the new geometric stencils features intricate edges for adding pretty borders. I grounded the bear using one of the Rectangles Set's edges. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Bear Sayings on a Jumbo Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banner. I love how wide these jumbo banners are—wide enough to fit a variety of sentiments! Lastly the background paper and the 2 are cut from the Forest Floor Paper Pack.

More Than Coffee - IO Theme Day - Hearts

Hello, everyone! This month's theme at IO is hearts.  I have a humorous coffee card to share, but first, I am sending love with this card! 

I cut a vibrant piece of colorful paper from the Valentine Rose paper pack to get started. To trim the border, I used the Edges 1 border. A heart from the Love with Wings stamp set perfectly fits a suit tag, so I die-cut and colored it. Finally, the die-cut sentiment Sending Love was affixed above the tag.

 I enjoyed making my background for this card using the Love with Wings Stamp set. The Coffee to Go was die-cut, and the sleeve was stamped with a heart also from the Love with Wings stamp set. It adds a cute touch to the Coffee to Go sleeve. The cup was then placed on a Deckled Tag. The sentiment is from the Relationship Humor set. It's hilarious, adding unexpected levity to the card. To add dimension to the card, I also used a Rounded Rectangle Layer and the Crazy Stitched Set.

New Friends

Greetings! This week at SCS, I am hosting the Free 4 All Challenge, and our theme is NEW! I like the F4ALL because there are so many ways to interpret most of the challenges!

My card features a sentiment from a new stamp set, Hello Friend. There is also the humorous line of becoming new friends when we are old!  Because of my terrible memory and the fact that my sister and I joke about being the two elderly women in the nursing home, this is funny in a lot of ways. She will remember me, but I think she could become my new best friend at some point. :)  Additionally, I stamped the sentiment on a Rounded Rectangle Layer and used a background paper from Spring Scenes.
