My Sweet Petunia/The Rabbit Hole Designs Birthday Collaboration!

 Hello!

Today is a fun day as I get to create along with the MISTI team and celebrate a birthday with The Rabbit Hole Designs team!  I remember how I used my birthday money for my very first MISTI and how it changed my stamping life!  I use the MISTI every time I stamp.  As a matter of fact, I usually have two going at the same time.  I place my image in one MISTI and then I use another for the sentiment.  Or sometimes I work on several different cards at once!

Today we are celebrating The Rabbit Hole Designs Birthday Bash!  The Rabbit Hole has the cutest line of caffeinated stamps and dies, and much much more!  They have soft blending brushes, stencils, dies, everything you might need to make a pretty project. I have had an absolute blast celebrating The Rabbit Hole Designs 2nd Birthday!  A birthday bash needs gifts, don't you think?  Well, we have them!  Both My Sweet Petunia and The Rabbit Hole Designs are giving away a $50.00 Gift Voucher each!  Head on over to My Sweet Petunia and The Rabbit Hole Designs Blog for more details!

You can find all of the fabulous new items at the Rabbit Hole Designs store

So how about a birthday card to start us off?  I used the new Party Time Stencil for the background.  Next, I colored the super yummy Just Cake in a way that I would love IRL!  I can't stand fussy cutting so I used the handy Just Cake Die to cut out the cake and the little candles!

Here is one of the things I love about the MISTI.  I placed the two candles on the platform lid and then I quickly repeat stamped them by moving the paper.  I don't use an acrylic block even for small things anymore because it's just easier to use the MISTI.

My second card is this darling bunny couple Je t'amie!  Aren't they adorable!  Cute animal images get me every time!  This is a fun set with the added hearts so they can be placed anywhere in the scene. The background was created with the lovely Open Heart Stencil.

To keep things nice and straight I use the Cut-Align for almost every card.  I love this set of rulers!  I love the weight, all of the markings, and best of all that one side is a 0 center!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and celebrating with me!

Journey

It's Friday!  I am the hostess for the F4ALL Challenge this week.  I am ready to leave Christmas decorations behind and brighten things up with flowers so I decided on flowers and hearts as today's challenge theme. We would love to have you join us at Splitcoaststampers and create with Flowers and Hearts!

As we finish up the first week of 2021, with a whole year ahead of us, I thought this Journey sentiment from Impression Obsession was especially appropriate.  As we make plans let not a stumble be the end of our journeys!  I framed the sentiment with this pretty Heart Frame and placed it on a base stamped with the delicate Peony Pattern.

Thanks so much for stopping by and may this year be filled with peace and resilience!

Hugs!

Big Hugs for Impression Obsession Die-Cut Day

Hi!  Welcome to Die-Cut Day at Impression Obsession!
I am excited to share two stamps from the January release along with two older dies. I stamped the Cover-a-Card Wrapped Ribbon stamp and then added lots of distress ink to the background.  Next, I spritzed the whole piece and die cut with the Large Frame.  For the inside, I stamped Big Hugs.  This stamp is as good as its name, it's big!  :)  To finish off the card I added some flowers from the Black-Eyed Susan set.

Alrighty!  :)  Now head on over to the Impression Obsession Blog and see what the other designers have prepared to inspire you!

Thank you for stopping by!  Sending you Big Hugs and wishes for a safe January!

Also if you would like to take a look all of the January Release Stamps can be found HERE.

I have a little bonus card for today.  I drew the cup and watercolored it for Watercolor Wednesday.  I made it into a card by adding Life is Sweet! IO has so many beautiful sentiments that are just right for any occasion!

Impression Obsession January Release Day - Faith

Happy New Year!
Welcome to the Impression Obsession January 2021 Release Celebration!

It's going to be an exciting year with a new release from Impression Obsession every month!  In the month of January, you will see lots of love, hearts, and encouragement!

I know some people start out the new year by eating certain foods for good luck but I can't imagine a better way to start out 2021 than with  Faith Over Fear.  I repeated the Crayon Element to make a rainbow and then added die-cut buttons with 3/8 Buttons and Half Inch Buttons. 2021, we've got this!

This month the hearts have it at Impression Obsession so I used this pretty Heart Banner image and stamped it on Tags with Tags.  The banner is left open so that a stamped or handwritten sentiment can be added.  I chose to use a sentiment from Card Sentiments.  To add a pop of color I die-cut a pink from the

Ok, so before you head out I have a little bonus for you! My first Christmas card of 2021! The Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge has a new challenge every month to help us get those cards made!

I used the darling Candy Cane Mouse, the Loopy Border Die, and the Merry Christmas sentiment.  That mouse is just sooo cute!

Oh! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Polishing an Older Cup

Hello!  How are you spending the last few days of 2020?  I am working on projects and cooking up all the leftovers from Christmas.  :) One of the many projects I am finishing is the last Old is New Day of 2020.

I was having so much fun painting last week that I decided this older image would look beautiful in watercolor.  The teacup is a really nice size to paint. I loved applying a mix of reds to the Christmas Teacup!  I think this would make a pretty Thank You or Birthday card so I am holding off on the sentiment for the moment.

The IO team is creating fresh designs with older stamps today so hop on over to the Impression Obsession blog for a full list of designers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mottled

Hello, everyone! It's the 5th week of the month so the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge has invited Becky as our Guest Designer.  She has chosen a lovely tutorial from Lydia.  I experimented several times with the technique and ended up with two cards!   For both cards, I used watercolor as the medium.  For the rose, I started with a dusty rose watercolor and mottled the flower with Quinacridone Rose.  The background was a pear-green wash that I mottled with clean water and then dropped in some of the dusty rose.  I really like how the background wash turned out.  It makes me want to go and paint a bunch of backgrounds!

I used A Rose and now the Coordinating Die is available to make creating even easier!  The sentiment is from Dragon Fruit and the sequins are Irish Coffee.

Next up I mottled another background.  This time with a deeper shade of green first and drops of the dust rose.  There really are countless ways to use this technique!  The background had me reaching for my Snail Die and Snailed It sentiment.

The paint mixes that I came up with were inspired by this week's Art Nudge #42.
