New Baby

I needed a baby card for a boy (I thought) so I searched "baby" on this week's IC683 site and came up with this fabulous room.  I just love this fresh take for a baby's room!  Instead of lime green chevrons, I went with diagonal stripes by stamping Rough Around the Edges on cardstock then I turned the paper and cut it so I had a diagonal border.

The sweet image and sentiment from the I Love You Momma Stamp set by Picket Fence Studios melts my heart!  This stamp set also comes with a coordinating die set!  To finish off the card, I added a navy border and colored the flower on momma's feathered head to match the border.

So it turns out, after showing this card to my son and chatting with him about his pastor's new baby, I needed a card for a baby girl!  This card could be used for either a boy or a girl but that navy border appeals to me more for a boy.  I also thought that since they already have a little boy they might truly enjoy some pink things so this card is going into my stash and I gave them THIS one.

  1. Oh Angie what a fabulous card to have in your stash - love the contrast between the navy and lime green, and that image is so sweet!
