For today's Dare to Get Dirty Challenges, I am taking a trip outside!
The background for this card was my mop-up piece for my Rainbow Bridge Card. Don't ever wipe up your craft mat before sopping up all the amazing inky colors! :) This is for Jeanne's fun challenge and here is what I used:
I am learning to make more than one background or sentiment panel at a time! It sure saves time later on. For this Country Tree card, I stamped it twice in different colors. I love how it looks with two different colors. When I originally stamped the background, I made a Fall one and a deep Spring green one, and then I placed them in my Unfinished Project Box for a later time. And today is that time! All I had to do was place it on a card base, add Stay Strong, and a bit of twine!
I just want to say thank you for stopping by even when there isn't a GIVEAWAY! I appreciate your comments so much! So I have decided to do a Giveaway! I have a small collection of never used and gently used stamps and stencils. I am going to split up the items and draw two winners! All you have to do is comment on my Dare to Get Dirty Posts! I started posting on August 22nd and the last day will be the 28th. Leave a comment on any or all of the posts by August 31st. The more days you comment the more chances to win! I will post the winners on Saturday, Sept 5th so make sure to stop back by so I can get your info!
Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you. Thanks so much!)
Both the cards are pretty.
ReplyDeleteI agree making background and stamping sentiments in advance helps later to whip up card quickly.
Love your ink smooshed background here
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! I really love the background on your first card... pretty colors! The bird on a branch is so pretty too! Beautiful scene with the tree also!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful as always. I like the idea of soaking up ink from a craft mat. Not sure I still have mine (never opened of course; smh). I'm still using my old SU paper ones.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards. I like the happy colours of the first one but the muted colours make the 2nd one really have some atmosphere
ReplyDeleteThese are both deeply lovely. Peaceful and sweet, eye-catching and filled with a strong sense of love and well wishes.
