This week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge features a Splitcoast Tutorial called Watercolor Emboss Resist. It's such a relaxing technique! I stamped the beautiful lemons from Pucker Up and heat embossed. (I didn't use it here but Pucker Up also has a Coordinating Die) I watercolored the stamped image with Distress markers like the tutorial shows but for the background, I mixed Daniel Smith Phthalo Blue and Phthalo Green. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Forgot to Say Thank You.
My color palette came from this week's Art Nudge #22. Since this lemon stamp had not seen ink yet I decided to forgo the fun pink car as my prompt and focused on the colors instead.
Thanks so much for stopping by! We would love to see you over at the Watercolor Challenge and the Art Nudge!
A lovely result Angie - love the way the white embossing highlights the stamp after watercolouring
