I Am So Sorry

Hello!  It's time for another Old is New Day at Impression Obsession. This time, I have chosen to feature the Pixel Daisy.  It debuted earlier this year so it's not all that old but it's not on the New Release list so it qualifies.  :)  The sentiment is from Card Sentiments, a stamp set I reach for over and over. I stamped the daisy in pink and gray ink and then scored the background and added little nails with a stylus.  This technique was shown to us by Lydia, but she used an embossing folder which gives a wonderful effect.  I fell in love with the technique and I have been trying to use it in different ways ever since!

I am also participating in Art Nudge #37.  Inspired by the chair I made a white and gray weathered-wood background. I focused on the super pretty pink flowers on the right for my pop of color.  You know I would zero in on the pink!  :)

I hope you will stop by the Impression Obsession Blog to find a list of the designers participating in today's Old is New!

And before you leave, I just want to let you know that the site-wide sale is still happening!  Use Promo Code 2020 when you shop the Impression Obsession Shop!

I hope you have an amazing day!

A Merry Watercolor Snowman

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  Brenda has chosen a wonderful tutorial for us with two options for an easy watercolor snowman.  I had so much fun creating this happy snowman.  I finished off the card with a Fancy Christmas Sentiment and Moonshine Sequins by Picket Fence Studios.

I love how the Moonshine Sequins Mix adds a bit of sparkle and I don't even have to get out the glitter!

Before I go, I just want to let you know about the fabulous sale happening now at Picket Fence Studios!

Thanks so much for stopping by during this holiday week!  You made my day!

Hey, There Pumpkin

Hey, there everyone!  When I can, I love to help celebrate the Featured Stamper at SCS.  This week we are celebrating Leslie!  Congratulations, Leslie, I had a wonderful time looking at your gallery!  I found THIS lovely Fall card.  Our cards share the same sentiment and we both have patterns on our pumpkin(s)!

I stamped Pumpkins on a Hill and then colored the image with watercolor markers.  The sentiment is from Fall in Love and lastly, I framed my fall scene with the Large Frame.

The SplitcoastStampers Challenges are open to everyone so why not join us and celebrate a cardmaker!

Have you picked up your favorite IO items yet?  There is still time to save at Impression Obsession's larges sale of the year.

Hand in Hand

It's Saturday and that means time for the SCS Inspiration Challenge!  Stacy had found the sweetest site! Click HERE for the challenge and click HERE to find the link to the photo I found!

The site has a nice selection of children's books so I thought this sentiment was perfect.  The card I found for inspiration has a dark blue background and a lot of shine.  :)

For my card, I used Christmas Hand and added a couple of stitched flowers from Summer Bouquet

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" has always been my favorite Christmas show. We really didn't have enough when I was growing up so the story always meant a lot to me.  I still get choked up when all the Whos down in Whoville start singing!   I think this year a lot of us are going to feel a little like the Whos this Christmas.  We are going to get up and we are going to celebrate even though it might not look like it usually does!  We might not be able to stand hand in hand this year but we will hold one another close in other ways and Christmas will still be!

Love and hugs!

Christmas Magic

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge!  This week, I am featuring a tutorial that shows three easy watercolor cards.  I decided to do just the first one for now because my week has not allowed for much practice, but I do want to try them all.  I can imagine making tree after tree!  It's so fun!  After painting the tree with Daniel Smith Watercolors, I added Golden Rose Paper Glaze using one of these spatulas and the Star Stencil from Picket Fence Studios.  After the Glaze was dry I stamped a sentiment from Inside Quotes: Christmas (it would probably be best to do the stamping first but nothing went awry).  I added a liberal amount of Paper Glaze splatter and lastly, I added sequins from Creme de Menthe and Holiday Hopper Sequins Mixes.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I would love to know if you like to paint and which medium is your favorite!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Hop

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's the 10th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags Celebration and today Picket Fence Studios is joining in the fun!  For all the details head on over to Tracey McNeely's Blog!

I created my tag by first stamping the majestic snow-covered tree from Most Wonderful Time of the Year in London Fog ink.  Next, I added the gorgeous Winter Snowflakes die-cut from glitter paper.  I stamped one of the sentiments from Inside Quotes: Christmas and lastly sprinkled on a few Pink Lady Sequins Mix.

I would love to know how many tags you create for Christmas!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Sweet N Sassy!

Sweet N Sassy Stamps turns 13 this month and they are having a Birthday Bash! Click the link above for the special Birthday Sales!

I have a long and twisted history with the VW.  Only a VW can leave you stranded in more places than you can remember and still hold a special place in your heart!  Growing up we had a lot of Bugs and at least one van maybe two.  The first Bug I can remember left us stranded in a snowbank in a forest as darkness fell. That was a pretty scary night!  My baby brother was born in a VW Van with a dog whining on the front seat floorboard and the cat sitting on top of the seat calmly watching the birth. True Story.  I won't bore you with the rest of the stories, just know that the VW and I go WAY back!  :)  So when I saw this Vintage Van set, I just had to have it.  It's so much fun because it can be used for any season by simply stamping pumpkins, balloons, packages, or nothing at all on the top!  The license plate can be switched out too!  I just love it!

I am also participating in this week's Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS!  This week we are celebrating Dacia and I found THIS card to CASE.

I colored my VW red just as she colored her Bug red.
Both of our cards have Christmas trees on top.  I have a blue sky similar to her tag.  Everything else is different.

Korin, Congratulations on 13 years!  I am so excited to celebrate with you!
